FARGO: INSTAGRAMS

here are a few more fargo scenes, complete with the eggboysister, eggboysistercat, and a water tower that matches the cupcake cups that i bought in hong kong (should i have a cake party about it?).

some of these photos are actually from a little town that was on the way back from fargo called hillsboro. we stopped there to go to our town on the recommendation of eggboysister. our town is the cutest little bakery with the yummiest caramel rolls and the yummiest looking other things that i wish i had the belly room to try. it was such a gem in a town of, like, six people, and i think i'll no longer be able to go to fargo without stopping through.

SUMMER.

​my summer is here. ​i thought it would never come. i thought i would shrivel up in sweaters with soup all around me and an ad lib snooze button and a perpetual want to go on pinterest. but here i am with a suitcase filled with farming clothes, concert clothes, camel-riding clothes, and stretchy pants (that will allow for serious dumpling eating), and i am ready to go. brooklyn, be well! i am off.

here is where i am off to:​

week one: chicago. to see my family and turn 24.​

week two: hong kong.​ to eat dumplings and play the gong.

weeks three-five: minnesota.​ to learn how to farm on eggboy's farm!

weeks six and seven: israel​. for a culinary birthright trip.

weeks eight and nine: chicago and michigan.​ to chill, jump in a lake, and go to ravinia.

week ten: new york​. to teach kiddoes the drums.

also: massachusetts, throw a pig roast, california ​to celebrate mr. & mrs. stoop, and pennsylvania ​for summer camp.

the obsessive documenter in me will be consistently posting to show you things like my first tractor drive and my first dead sea dip, but there will be some stretches where my internet won't be reliable. so... i am looking for guest bloggers! if you want to put together a dumpling-centric post, such as a recipe or a poem about dumplings or a photo montage of the prettiest dumplings you ever saw, send me a shout at yeh.molly@gmail.com.

THE FORREST

well! i survived my very second hiking trip. and this time i liked it! ​and not just because we accidentally only had two hours on the mountain (we are not good at researching train schedules, apparently). eggboy and i were due for some time spent away from the city and the subways and the crowds--so due that we couldn't even wait until our trip to the suburbs ​next week. just seeing some greenery and hills gave us happy times, and in between discussions about game of thrones we decided that we should probably spend more time in the forrest. with bug spray and snackees. 

halfway through our hike we found the perfect rock for a perfect picnic. it included green beans with some beautiful garlic scapes that i found at the market last week, all cooked up in a mustard-y white balsamic dressing. also, an egg for eggboy, a kale trail mix (+ cranberries + almonds + dark chocolate espresso nibs, yum!), and an apple peanut butter o'clock complete with a homemade individual almond butter packet.​ boy, if i could make cute little lunchies all day every day, i think i would.  

i think next i'd like to pack a cute little lunchie for a rafting trip... and then maybe a canoe trip... and then, dare i say it, a camping trip!​
