i woke up as a grumpy goat this morning (maybe it's the gloomy weather, maybe it's that i fell asleep before the end of the game of thrones episode that i was watching*) so eggboy made me breakfast: two slices of turkey bacon, one and one half eggs, a sprinkling of cheese, and bread. i ate half a yogurt and wined a little while i was waiting for it (we all have our days, right?). more importantly, i'm very much drawn to eggboy's plating skills this morning: the eggs and the bacon straddle the plate's dividers so wonderfully abstractly. he's such a free spirit.
(once we discussed and oggled over how neither of us used coloring books when we were little nuggets because we didn't like using other people's lines. i think this breakfast is just a grown up version of that.)
*that's embarrassing, right? i shouldn't admit that i watch that show, right? or is it n.b.d.?
in other, less eggy news: stoopie and her husband-to-be have just acquired their marriage license down the street at city hall and now stoop and mum are heading over for spa day! i love me a good spa day.
i'm a little bit stressing out about having to wake up early tomorrow morning and nail my very first wedding cake... mainly because the person that would be best to ask in my family (the person with the degree in baking and pastry) is the person getting married. eggboy says i can just go to dairy queen and get her an ice cream cake if i fuck it up. although i'm trusting that my marzipan skills can just cover up any ouchies that go down. oh, i shouldn't be kvetching about this, it is stoopie's day. you could say i just have page turner's anxieties.
ok i need to go find really adorable or embarrassing photos of stoopie and john to post tomorrow on their big day.
-yeh!
