RECIPE: MUHAMMARA

this stuff is addictive. in its red peppery, walnutty goodness i just want to dive into a pool filled with it and then chill on a pita floatie. it would be like cloudy with a chance of meatballs only it'd be more like sunny with no chance of natural disaster because with a good muhammara, everything is perfect

serve it with pita, eat it with a spoon, or do what eggboy and i did last pizza night: spread it on a chickpea crust and top with caramelized onions, chicken sausage, and fresh mint.

muhammara

ingredients

3 red bell peppers, chopped and roasted with a drizzle of olive oil and a few pinches of salt

1 1/2 c walnuts, toasted

the juice from 1/2 a lemon

2 tb honey

2 cloves of garlic (or 2 dorot garlic cubes)

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp red chili pepper flakes

2 tb olive oil

salt + pepper to taste

clue

blend everything in a food processor.

you could  bring this to your labor day barbecue today... but you might not want to share it...
